Lineage - Heritage

Long ago, the essence of Yoga was revealed in the world's oldest spiritual scriptures, the Vedas. For many centuries, before these texts were written, the Holy traditions were transmitted orally from Master to disciple. To transmit the highest truth the Master must be Brahma Nistham Srotriyam, knower of all three times, this Master is known as the Satguru. To transcend the mind and reach the ultimate goal, seekers need the guidance of a Satguru, an enlightened Master who has followed the path to its natural end and can lead them to the Divine within themselves.

The Satguru lineage of Yoga in Daily Life stretches back through time for centuries from Param Mahasiddha Awatar Sri Alakhpuriji, right up to the present day to H.H. Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda who now wears the Chadar of this Divine lineage.

Param Mahasiddha Avatar Sri Alakhpuriji

Sri Alakhpuriji is one of the great Siddhas or Rishis of Satya Loka - the highest cosmic level of Absolute Truth and Reality - who are the protectors of this world; present on Earth for many thousands of years, either in visible or invisible form. Their age is unknown and they are capable of changing their body at will. They stand above all conditions of this material world.

Paramyogeshwar Svayambhu Sri Devpuriji

Yogeshwar Sri Devpuriji is revered as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He embodies all characteristics of Lord Shiva - Shiva is the saviour, the destroyer of bad and evil. Shiva is consciousness, purity and fire. It was Lord Shiva who brought the wisdom of yoga to humanity.

Parabrahm Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji

The great Indian saint and God-Realized master Bhagvan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji was a true incarnation of divine Love and Wisdom. "Love each living being - just as much as yourself" - this sentence is the essence of Sri Mahaprabhuji's message to mankind. "To love" means: to understand, forgive, help, give.

H.H. Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji

Bhagvan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji had many self-realized disciples. Foremost amongst them was his successor, a spiritual luminary, Hindu Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavananda ("Holy Guruji") who brought the light of Mahaprabhuji to the world. He preached about love, understanding, and tolerance for all, which is concisely captured in his message "One in All, All in One."

Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda

PARAMHANS SWĀMĪ MAHESHWARĀNANDA is the successor of Paramhans Swami Madhavanandaji. He has lived in Vienna since 1972 where he founded the “International Srī Deep Mādhavānanda Ashram” and the first of the “Yoga in Daily Life” societies, which was soon followed by numerous sister societies worldwide. Under Swāmijī’s leadership there are now hundreds of Yoga groups in western and central Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India.
